Tornado News

I'm sure most of you are aware of the F5 tornado that plowed through the South on Wednesday. Sal went down on Thursday with a car full of supplies to check on all of our friends and family (the in-laws live near Tuscaloosa). I am pleased to report that everyone is accounted for, including the Ancorans that live in the path of the storm. No one suffered more than minor injuries, but there is a range of damage from none to extensive.
The report from Sal is bleak, and the pictures you see on the internet don't do it justice. There are entire neighborhoods that have been disintegrated into nothing more than piles of rubble. On top of that, relief efforts immediately after the tornado and for the first couple of days following were disjointed, ill-organized, and chaotic. It didn't help that the Emergency Operations Center and the back-up site were both destroyed in the tornado. Communication, or the lack thereof, was a real problem; a site for a distribution center would be announced on the radio for a couple of hours, yet when he arrived at the location, there would be no one there, for example. But, by the time he left to come home, efforts were getting organized and systematic.
Please keep those folks in your thoughts and prayers as they being the laborious process of rebuilding. If you have specific questions, please feel free to post them in the forums or on our Facebook page.
Cataclysm, Or Someone Set Us Up The Bomb
Written by Varulv Thursday, 06 January 2011 08:46
Too many years into the game, and on our third expansion, Cataclysm has released to the masses and shattered PC game sales records with 3.3 million copies sold, a triumph over the 2.8 million Wrath of the Lich King sold upon release. The game has maintained a massive following for over 10 million consistently and looks like it will be keeping this fanbase for at least another year or two.
If you have avoided World of Warcraft like plague in the past but finally gave in - you can be less worried, as there is fresh content for the level 1-60 leveling experience and it is very streamlined. Gone are the days of spending 3-4 months to hit level 60, it can be in 1-3 enjoyable weeks now. They 60-80 content is kind of a rush through as the expansion are finished, and this is a fault and bugs me. You'll outlevel these two sections of content by finishing two zones, while there many more left sitting alone. All alone. Netherstorm, I feel for ya buddy. I promise I'll come visit your zone soon. One day...
Charter Update Completed

The new Charter has been completed, ratified by the Curia and posted on the website. It is a long document, so to make the changes easier to find and digest, I have also uploaded a series of FAQ documents. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to post them in forums.
Additionally, the bug that prevented people from being able to stay logged into the forums has been resolved as far as I can tell. If anyone continues to experience that issue, please let me know.
